There is a chance of showers this week, although the rain is not expected to be as heavy as the past few days, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
NSW State Emergency Service (SES) duty officer Neil Wiblin said the Wingecarribee unit responsed to 14 storm and flood jobs from 6pm on Friday.
"Most of the jobs involved water coming into homes due to the heavy rain, leaking roofs as well as trees and branches down," Mr Wiblin said.
SES volunteers were called to three jobs in Moss Vale and Hill Top, as well as other jobs at Sutton Forest, Exeter, Penrose, Mittagong, Burradoo and the Alpine/Aylmerton area.
Mr Wiblin said while rain was expected to continue in the Southern Highlands, it would be "nothing like we saw on the weekend".
According to the BoM, the Moss Vale weather station at Hoskins Street recorded 35.6mm of rain for the 24 hours to 9am on Sunday.
Meanwhile the same station recorded 14.8mm of rain on Saturday and 9mm on Friday.
The BoM cancelled a severe weather warning for the region on Sunday morning.
"Severe weather is no longer occurring in NSW and the ACT," the BoM said.
"The immediate threat of severe weather has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary."
In the event of wet and windy weather, the SES advises that people should:
- Keep clear of fallen power lines.
- Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water.
- Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
- Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
- Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires.
