Bowral residents Jeff and Leanette King have gifted a 1642 Flemish Model Harpsichord to Southern Highlands Christian School.
The couple, who has started to move into retirement, initially approached Powerpoint Music owner Steve Cheers.

Mr Cheers, who was not in a position to sell the instrument, suggested the two approach the school.
Head of Creative and Performing Arts Michael Bunyan said his department was very pleased to receive the gift.
"We're very grateful to the couple," Mr Bunyan said. "We'll certainly invite them to our concerts."

Mr King built the harpsichord in nine months, which was a popular thing to do in the 1970s.
Mr Bunyan said the ability to hear a real harpsichord, as opposed to an electronic one, would enrich students' education.
"That's a bonus in the study of music," he said.
