The tour is scheduled to coincide with the release of The Whitlams' first new single in 14 years, "Ballad of Bertie Kidd", on October 30.
Freedman has added a marquee event at the City Recital Hall to play on his birthday Wednesday November 25.
Freedman will then head to Berrima on November 27 to play at Bendooley Estate. Tickets are still available.
"Ballad of Bertie Kidd" is a six minute crime caper that sits immediately with the classics of The Whitlams' repertoire, and is their first new song since 2006.
As the track begins, Freedman is cornered by a Rabbitohs fan at the pub who relates a tale that only the patron saint of hapless criminals could have dreamt up.
Bert Kidd, subject of a plan to deport him at the age of 81, and still considered dangerous by police at the age of 87, is a notorious safe cracker and career criminal who was released from jail two years ago.
The question will be asked, "Why was the botched robbery in the song not included in Bert's three volume autobiography?"
Tim Freedman new show dates include:
- The Music Lounge, Wollongong on Friday, November 6 with an early and late show.
- Kinglscliff Beach Hotel, Kingscliff on Friday November 13
- Lizottes, Neswcastle on Tuesday November 17
- The Street Theatre, Canberra on Saturday November 28. A third show has been added for an afternoon, early and late performance.
