We have pride in our heritage in the Highlands and we don't want every bit of vacant land built on, especially if it hides historical events and memories.

All this land was given to the Church of England by Norton Oxley and it became a Glebe, including Bradman Oval and Glebe Street.

The overpass plan was not devised by Friends of Bowral. It came from the Berrima Residents Association (BRA).

What bridge "rises 140 metres"? Maybe that was an old-fashioned "misprint".

ARTC requires clearance of 7.1 metres above the rail track for a new bridge. Not six metres. Credibility diminished by inaccurate information.

Neither the BRA nor the other unidentified plan is anywhere near the excavated clay pit.

The intersection of Kirkham Road with Mittagong Road was comprehensively addressed by the Department of Planning and Environment in dealing with the heavy transport aspects in the DA for the new quarry at New Berrima to supply raw materials to the brickworks at Bowral.

That was the final reason for a government grant to council to rebuild the northern section of Kirkham Road to the much higher standard than it used to be. That heavy truck function will severely diminish after the more recently announced closure of Bowral Brickworks.

It is doubtful if expanding Kirkham Road to four lanes north of the Mittagong Rivulet bridge would achieve any benefit because there is no reason for on-street parking, as there is/will be south of the bridge, and is why the road is being formally widened south of Sherwood Avenue.

Mr Parker's assessment of the Station Street upgrade project is entirely correct for the one reason he has given. Friends of Bowral can supply at least a dozen more reasons.
