The event will now be held on Saturday, October 3 from 9am to 4pm.
The day out was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 26, however this was postponed due to forecasted rain and damaging winds.
Residents are invited to bring a picnic blanket as well as their own morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea to the botanic gardens.
There will also be a colouring-in competition, a raffle and a visit from Big Teddy who will hand out small gifts to children.
The teddy bear trail will be re-opened to allow families to wander the gardens and discover 16 hidden teddies.
The recently-opened all-abilities playground will also prove to be popular with children.
Entry to the Teddy Bear Picnic is free.

The Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens are located on the corner of Old South and Kangaloon Roads in Bowral.
