An unblemished season for the Burrawang Blue's under 11 side has resulted in a unbeaten season, capped off with a grand final win.
The Burrawang Blues released a write up on their Facebook page.
"The mighty Burrawang Blues entered the under 11 grand final on the back of an undefeated regular season.
"Facing them was the ever formidable Robertson, whose only loss had come at the hands of Burrawang back in round five.
"Burrawang got off to a flier in the first half with an early goal through a piece of individual skill by Bryce Rodger.
"However, despite creating numerous other scoring opportunities, it was to prove the only Burrawang goal of the half.
"Robertson, meanwhile, began applying pressure down the other end and came away with a goal to tie things up at one all going into the break.
"Following what will go down as one of the great half-time speeches, the Blues came out firing in the second stanza and quickly added to their tally with goals to Mimi Legge and Indigo Brain.
"But to their credit Robertson stuck to it and came home with a wet sail.
"After clawing back a goal late in the game, Robertson piled on the pressure in the closing moments and picked up a seemingly endless number of short corners.
"However, great defending from Griffin Davies and Erin Littleton and superb keeping from Harper Macdonald kept Robertson at bay, with Burrawang eventually holding on to win the final 3-2.
"Well done to Robertson for a great season and for being such tough opponents in the final. It made for a wonderful game.
"Finally, congratulations to the Burrawang Blues for a superb undefeated season.
"The club is in great hands with this fine group of young players who are, more importantly, even better young people."
