He's the vice president and now he's a life member.
Raising funds for kids with special needs is 4K's purpose and now new life member, Jason Lewis said it was wonderful to be recognised for the hard work put in.
"It was an honour to receive it," Lewis said.
"It was nice to get the recognition for the hard work we've been putting into raising money for special needs kids in the Southern Highlands.
"I've been a part of 4K for 20 years and vice president for three years. I've loved every minute of it."
Wanting to give back to the Highland community, Lewis raised his hand and jumped at the opportunity to help.
"I wanted to help families that were experiencing financial and emotional hardship," Lewis said.
"When the vice president opportunity rose, I was the second longest serving member so, when asked if I'd consider the position, I happily took it."
COVID has all but ruled out 4K's annual gentleman's lunch and golf day. But, being able to see the members and having them there to honour his achievement meant the world to Lewis
"When restrictions ease, we're hoping that we can have a low key get together," Lewis said.
"Maybe a lawns bowls day. We want to keep 4K's name in the front of everyone's mind.
"So, hopefully when the restrictions ease, we can have a proper day out."
Now a life member, not all is completed for Lewis. He still has some big plans to help 4K out.
"I want to continue getting the charity new sponsorship," Lewis said.
"Also, what it's all about, I want to continue helping the special needs kids of the Wingecarribee Shire."
