The bridge spans the train line immediately south of the Bowral Train Station and connects Kirkham Road to Station Street.
The temporary closure is to enable road pavement rehabilitation works to be undertaken on the bridge.
Traffic controllers will be stationed onsite re-directing motorists to use the alternate Kirkham Road access located north on Mittagong Road.
Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic arrangements, exercise care when traveling in the area and be aware of workers and heavy machinery. Where possible motorists are asked to avoid the area.
Pedestrian access across the Wingecarribee Street Bridge including the neighbouring Bowral Train Station will not be affected.
Council thanks local businesses and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.
For further information contact the Senior Project Manager on phone 4868 0888.
