The new car park, opposite the Milk Factory Gallery in Station Street, will allow up to 90 minutes of free parking.
There is a contactless experience for those still in the free period.
For drivers outside of the free period, they can enter their licence plate number into a pay machine.
The parking system, installed by Ybern, has added 38 new spaces to ensure more options for shoppers.
The Bowral community can also look forward to a change in February next year.
Target will become a Kmart Hub, which will allow customers to click and collect items directly from the store.
For the remainder of this year, the ticketless car park will provide spaces for Target customers.
However next year the 38 spaces will create an opportunity for Kmart Hub shoppers to collect their purchases from the store using the car park.
