"We had a great coffee and craft morning back in the community hall in Queen Street, Moss Vale, last Friday [August 21]," she said.
"Fifteen of our members gathered to enjoy each other's company - knitting, crocheting, chatting and generally having a great time solving the problems of the world."
Ms Bowe said the branch also took the opportunity to appoint its first branch patron, Phyllis Parker.
"Phyllis has been a member of CWA of NSW since 1981 and has held many positions in branch, group and state," she said.
"She has always been interested in the Land Cookery Competition, enjoying much success at branch, group and state levels.
"Branch members were very pleased to elect Phyllis to her new role - a very popular decision.
"Phyllis is a very modern woman receiving all branch information by email and is pleased that our organisation continues to evolve and do great work.
"She is happy that the focus of this year's CWA Awareness Week from September 6-13 is to raise awareness of Family and Domestic Violence.
"I was so pleased that Phyllis was really delighted to receive this accolade from fellow members of our branch."
