The Bowral Cricket Club held their annual general meeting and by the end, the club had a new chairman.
After six successful years as chairman of Bowral Cricket Club, Angus Humphreys said it was time to move on and there was no bad blood between him and the club.

"There was no boardroom coup. It was all planned and a very civil affair. (laughs)," Humphreys said.
"I think my time at the club went really well.
"I look at participation levels, enjoyment and results. There was no year where I was disappointed with any of those three key points.
"The net project we did with the Bradman Foundation was excellent. A lot of fundraising and the team that was involved with that project were outstanding. That was a wonderful memory under my watch."
Humphreys is very content with the legacy he leaves behind and is happy with the shape the club is in as he departs.
"The club has grown in numbers over six years," Humphreys said.
"Each year we had a premiership in juniors or seniors. We are the largest cricket club in the Highlands and there's terrific volunteers who make the whole thing possible at the club."
Humphreys will still support the club, but has other positions within the cricket community that need attending to.
"I'll certainly be in the background," Humphreys said.
I'm also the secretary for the Southern Highlands Umpiring Association, so I was wearing two hats.
"I'm a firm believer in change brings renewed enthusiasm.
"After six years, I think it's time for a change and fresh faces bring in new enthusiasm."
The new man at the helm is Peter de Hosson.
De Hosson is honoured to be the Bowral Cricket Club's new chairman and can't wait to get to work.
"It's a little bit daunting, but I'm very honoured," De Hosson said.
"I have the support of the board and I'm excited to take on the role. We have a really good opportunity to grow the club, bring cricket to the community and continue on from Angus' excellent work."
Having the backing of the board made the transition for de Hosson to chair an easy one. He now wants to continue on with the great work done previously.
"Angus had done six years, that's a really good effort," De Hosson said.
"He'd done enough and has done an excellent job. As directors we got together and I was asked by the members if I'd take the role and they thought I'd be the right fit for the job.
"I accepted and it's been a pretty easy transition."
De Hosson has the passion for cricket in his veins and loves the Bowral Cricket Club. He joined the board originally to make changes for the better of the club, now that hard work has come to fruition.
"I've always been a believer that you can't sit back and complain about things if you're not willing to put your hand up and create positive changes yourself," De Hosson said.
"I joined the board because I thought that we could improve areas of the club and the way we conduct ourselves among the HDCA (Highlands District Cricket Association).
"With Angus stepping down, it was a really good opportunity to take that leadership role and lead by example."
The future of the Bowral Cricket Club looks bright and the plan is to bring the best cricket to the Highlands community and include anyone willing to be a part of the movement.
"We have a plan as a club," De Hosson said.
"Our plan is to try and be more exclusive within the community. We want to engage as many people as possible in this sport.
"Whether that be within our club or others that is irrelevant. We want to spread the enjoyment of cricket.
"I know how much joy this game can bring to people and that can lead to better mental health, building communities and families.
"All of that makes our communities better and that's my focus."
Bowral Cricket Club's treasurer, Chris Muldoon and patron, Simon Taufel will also be stepping down.
