The meeting will be broadcast to the community through live streaming on council's Facebook page and will begin at 3.30 pm.
Residents are encouraged to watch the live stream on Council's Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/WingecarribeeShireCouncil.
Several items will be discussed in council.
Multi housing dwellings, Oxley Road, Bowral.
A development application for seven units in a multi housing development will return to council. It was previously deferred at two separate council meetings, one in February and one in May.
The matter was deferred to allow the applicant to address the issues raised by the objectors in terms of overshadowing and overall building height as viewed from adjoining properties.
Use of an existing farm building for auction sales, Robertson
A report will be put forward to council to determine whether an existing farm building and its surrounds can be used for auction sales of antique furniture.
The auctions would occur twice a year over five years on a property alongside the Illawarra Highway, Robertson.
Council staff recommends approval for a trial period of two events per year over two years.
Mayor and Deputy Mayor Election 2020
Councillors will determine the date and method of the 2020 mayor and deputy mayor elections. It is recommended that the election is to be held on September 23, 2020 as part of the Ordinary Meeting of Council.
Councillors will need to determine the method of voting, either it will be a preferential ballot, ordinary ballot or open voting.
The next NSW Local Government General Elections were set down to take place on September 12, 2020.
However, due to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the NSW Government announced on June 12 to postpone the NSW Local Government General Elections until September 4, 2021.
As a result of this decision, the current elected councillors (elected for the term 2016-2020) will continue to hold their civic offices until the rescheduled elections take place.
Proposed amendments to the Code of Meeting Practice
Councillors will vote on a proposed amendment to the Code of Meeting Practice.
At the July 22 Wingecarribee Shire Council meeting, Mayor Duncan Gair introduced the amendment in his mayoral minute.
The amendment would limit councillors to place a maximum of two notices of motion or questions with notice.
If the proposed amendments are approved, a draft submission will be placed on public exhibition.
Questions with notice
Several questions with notice have been submitted to council concerning Station Street, Bowral Bypass, Federal Grants, the General Managers contract and Royal Commission into the bushfire disaster.
Notice of motion
Two notices of motion have been submitted to council.
The first notice of motion is about the Local Housing Strategy and Local Strategic Planning Statement - Wensleydale.
Councillors Garry Turland, Ken Halstead and Ian Scandrett have signalled their intention to move a motion to review the Local Housing Strategy and Local Strategic Planning statement and to remove Wensleydale from the plan.
The second notice of motion is in relation to a staff wellness survey.
Councillor Halstead has requested that the acting general manager Barry Paull facilitate an up to date wellness survey for all council staff.
