Highland Storm's director of football for juniors David Whetton said it's been a labour of love and worth every second of the hard work.
"Over the past 10 months, the Storm committee, members, coaches, managers, supporters and players have come together to provide a rugby league pathway that is deeper and stronger by combining the excellent resources of the clubs to offer more coaching," Whetton said.
"We now have a larger pool of players and an internal Friday Night Football competition for U6-U9's at Loseby Park.
"This means the mini teams can play rugby league in the Highlands, for the Highlands, without leaving the Highlands."
President of the Highland Storm Juniors, Matthew Burke said that every game he watched was outstanding.
"What an awesome start for the Storm," Burke said.
"I was lucky enough to watch every Juniors game, as well as see the Girls League Tag and Senior Men enjoy respective victories.
"It was really fantastic to see the local support for the new club."
President of Highlands Storm Seniors, Peter Howard said, "We are fortunate in that we have two excellent home grounds on which we can play Junior and Senior rugby league."
"The continuous improvement of these facilities gives us tremendous flexibility," Howard said.
Head Coach for Senior Men, Steven Baines said it was all about the teamwork.
"It was a great team effort in our first competition game," Baines said.
"With special mention to Aydan Saad and Archie Thomas for their hat-tricks, Jesse Lacey for his double and Lachy Dickson for kicking 6/6 of his conversions."
Christian from the U15/16 Storm side said the club as a whole feels together.
"The big difference with the Storm is the feeling of togetherness," Christian said.
"Everyone is committed to success and faithful towards the common goal of training hard, improving our skills and being a united Highlands rugby league force."
Lennox from the U10 and Tony from the U9 Storm sides love their new club.
"I love playing for the Storm because we train really well and then play good footy on a Saturday," Lennox said.
"I see my mates every week and we have fun!"
"Friday Night Footy is so much fun!" Tony said.
"We train one afternoon with skills and drills, then play against our mates at the end of the week. We don't mind tackling hard, because we are all good mates and shake hands afterwards."
On Saturday August 1 the Storm junior teams played at Community Oval in Moss Vale versus the Narellan Jets and Appin Dogs.
Seniors played at Oran Park against the Oran Park Charges.
