Police said an investigation was started in June, 2018 after reports of alleged larceny and misconduct.
Following inquiries, a 51-year-old senior constable attached to a command in the Southern Region was arrested.
About 10.45am on Friday, July 31, the officer was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice; for larceny, deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000 and holder of public office misconduct himself.

He is due to appear before Nowra Local Court on Monday, September 14.
The officer has been suspended with pay.
