BDCU Alliance Bank announced that they are allocating grants as part of their My Community Program totalling over $34,000.
More than $34,000 will be distributed to community groups across the Highlands and Tablelands, contributing to numerous projects including healthcare, aged care, education and the environment.
These grants have been made possible by BDCU Alliance Bank members who support their community through a My Community Savings Account.
The My Community Savings Account allows savers to earn interest as normal but for every dollar of interest they earn BDCU donates 15 cents from its own capital to support the saver's nominated My Community Partner.
As a social enterprise BDCU invests funds into projects that enhance people's lives and enrich local communities.
The My Community Program is just one of a number of programs through which BDCU works hard to support positive change in the Highlands and Tablelands.
CEO Tanya Schiller said "we're pleased to be able to support a number of local groups in this current challenging climate, particularly those who rely heavily on fundraising"
"In normal times we would come together to celebrate the difference our Community Partners make to our community," Ms Schiller said.
"Until we can safely meet again we wish all our partners well and sincerely thank them for all the work they do."
