Ms Prendergast is currently on extended leave.
Deputy general manager of operations, finance and risk, Mr Barry Paull has been appointed as acting general manager until the position of general manager can be recruited and filled on a permanent basis.
Mayor Duncan Gair read the motion on a live Facebook broadcast.
- The resolutions were that the mayor had been authorised to negotiate the finalisation of the general manager's contract in accordance with the standard contract of employment for the general managers of the Local Government council in NSW.
- The mayor was authorised to negotiate and sign the deed of release that confirmed the termination date of the general manager's contract of employment.
- That any accrued leave and entitlements standing at the agreed termination date of the general manager are to be paid.
A representative of the Office of Local Government, Doug Friend was in attendance to witness the meeting.
