All lanes of the Illawarra Highway have reopened on Macquarie Pass now that a fallen tree has been moved.
Only one lane of the highway was open under stop/slow traffic while emergency services and traffic crews worked to clear the site.
Heavy traffic has eased through the area but motorists are still advised to take extra care in the wet conditions.

One lane of the Illawarra Highway has reopened at Macquarie Pass as work continues to remove a fallen tree.
The highway had been closed in both directions at the top of the pass.
Stop/slow traffic control is in place to allow motorists to travel through the area one direction at a time.
Emergency crews are on scene removing the tree.
Heavy traffic on the highway is easing however motorists should continue to allow extra travel time.
