No doubt, like me, you had been closely watching the cases of COVID-19 rising in Victoria. Then all of a sudden a significant number of cases were on our doorstep once more. There was even news of a case in the Southern Highlands.
It was enough to send panic through the community. But as one wise doctor pointed out "We have previously had 25 cases in the Wingecarribee, in March and April - and we did not let that spread. So please don't panic. Just do the right thing!"
This same doctor has also been known to say on several occasions "This virus doesn't spread itself, people spread it."
It is a fairly straight forward message and one we should all take on board.
While we continue to navigate life in this strange new world there are some things that aim to remind us that not is all doom and gloom. The Kind Hearts initiative is one that quickly springs to mind.
Then there is the inspiring story about a visually impaired cyclist.
We will continue to seek these good news and inspiring stories in the week ahead while making sure we also deliver the latest and breaking news.
Stay safe
