It was great to see on Wednesday, July 8 at Bowral Bowling Club.
Ted McPhee and Chris Forrester defeated Richard Denman and Graham Hunt 18-16 in the match of the day.
This was a solid match right through with the spoils of victory hard to pick.
The first half of the match, each player earned every shot they played.
After seven ends the scores equal 6-6 and after 10 ends McPhee and Forrester were just in front 10-9.
The form of the players after the long lay off was surprisingly very good.
As the match moved along, Denman and Hunt hit the front 14-12 after 16 ends.
Over the closing ends McPhee and Forrester hit back and following good play ran out two shot winners.
Other results:
- Dan Ticehurst and Kevin Stafford defeated Andrew Lewisky and Josh Woodcock 18-14.
- Keith Edwards and Don Chapman defeated Tony Oakes and Bob Edwards 18-14.
- Peter Morales and Eric Willacy defeated Glen Giese and Jim Starkey 22-15.

Club news:
This Saturday at 10am, the final of the major singles will be played between Stephen Della and Bob Crowley.
This will be a all-or-nothing match for both players, as the winner will be crowned club champion.
On the medical front, the two brothers Greg and Ashley Lewis are now out of hospital with Ashley having a operation in Wollongong Hospital and Greg having a operation in Bowral Hospital.
I anticipate that both will be able to move forward and get back to the grand old game of bowls after they have a practice back on the green.
