The Southern Highland News witnessed an email which addressed various concerns Wingecarribee Shire Council had in relation to the bushfires.
These included issues surrounding communication management, neighbourhood safe spaces, sewage and water, and the need for a dedicated RFS liason officer stationed at council's Emergency Operations Centre.
The submission also praised the RFS and SES for their well coordinated support in the lead up and during the fires.
The late submission was made after it was revealed that Wingecarribee Shire Council had not submitted evidence to the royal commission or the independent inquiry.
Councillor Garry Turland has submitted a questions with notice to ask for a copy of the submission at the next meeting of council on July 8.
