I don't want to keep harping on the challenges that have presented themselves so far this year. But few, if any, could say that they have not be impacted by at least one of the following - drought, bushfire, floods and of course the global COVID-19 pandemic.

It is for this reason that the team at Southern Highland News is thrilled to be involved in driving home a message of kindness throughout the month of July, an initiative of ReFrame, Community Links Wellbeing and Highland FM 107.1.
Quite simply we could all benefit from receiving, and offering a little, or a lot, of kindhearted gestures. As the old saying goes, "you reap what you sow" and there is no better time than right now to sow some kind and positive vibes.
While we are on the subject of positives, the Bowral Blacks have cause for celebration with the official opening of a new clubhouse.
The Southern Highland Bridge Club members are also one step closer to a new clubhouse that has been a decade in the planning...so far.
We will continue to share the stories of the community and how we have adapted to an ever-changing, and often restricted environment. We will also seek and share those stories of success and resilience.
