Avoca Rural Fire Brigade volunteers received reports a large tree had fallen on Nowra Road at around 12am on Tuesday, June 30.
The incident occurred a few hundred metres west of Redhills Road, Fitzroy Falls.
It took four volunteer firefighters about an hour to remove the large tree.
Southern Highlands Police assisted with traffic management on the 90 kilometre an hour road.
Volunteer firefighters respond to calls about fallen trees on Nowra Road several times a year.
