Take aim, because the Highlands has red-hot-pistol action coming over the next two weekends.
The Berrima Clay Target Club will be hosting two events that are encouraging: professional and beginner shooters along with spectators to attend.
Sunday, June 28 will see a practice day held for shooters to sharpen their skills for the following weekend's competition.
Beginners and spectators are encouraged to attend as training sessions will be available.
Ex-president of the Berrima Clay Target Club, Peter Papps says this Sunday will be a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in the sport to come down and get some hands on experience.
"If anyone would like to attend, we can give them coaching," Mr Papps said.
"If you're a licensed shooter, you will be allowed to shoot as normal.
"Those without a license will have to fill-out the proper paperwork, but we can look after them. We have club guns they can use and we will coach them with an introduction to shooting.
"The first Sunday, June 28 will be a practice day, then Saturday, July 4 will be competition shooting."
People were clambering to make a booking. We had an hour wait at the front gate.Peter Papps.
Papps is still shooting and looking forward to seeing the club come out all guns blazing after the COVID crisis.
"The club has been completely shut down due to the COVID pandemic," Mr Papps said.
"We've only just recently been able to have 10 people on the range. Three have to be officials. Seven shooters isn't a lot.
"People were clambering to make a booking. We had an hour wait at the front gate, until it was that group of shooters turn.
"There were very strict restrictions put in place and we complied to all them."
Like all sporting clubs in the Highlands, the future and normality is still unknown, and the Berrima Target Club isn't any different.
"How long's a piece of string? (laughs)," Mr Papps chuckled.
"As of today, June 26, we're looking to have our first competition shoot going ahead on July 4.
"That will be the start of getting things back to normal. But there will still be several restrictions on people. Sanitising, social distancing, we will be complying to all these requirements.
"It's going to be day by day."
