It has been lovely to have more flexibility in our lives and I am looking forward to the opportunity to enjoy a meal in one of the fantastic restaurants in the Southern Highlands.
Under NSW Government rules, outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people are now allowed, up to five people can visit your household and religious gatherings can have up to 10 worshippers.

From June 1, food and drink premises can seat up to 50 patrons.
As we enjoy more freedom and reconnect with family and friends, it is vital that we continue to practise physical distancing and good hand hygiene.
While it is fantastic that we have flattened the COVID-19 curve, we must not become complacent; we must do everything we can to keep ourselves, our loved ones and community safe.
This means continuing to stay 1.5 metres away from others, avoid shaking hands, hugging and kissing and avoid visiting vulnerable people, such as the elderly or people with compromised immune systems.
I also encourage anyone who has cold or flu-like symptoms, such as a sore throat, fever, headache, dry cough and fatigue, even if the symptoms are mild, to be tested for the virus at the hospital's COVID-19/ flu assessment clinic or see your GP.
The clinic, located in the outpatients clinic in Ascot Street, is open Monday to Sunday and public holidays.

Last month the NSW Government announced an additional $2.3 billion health boost and economic stimulus package for COVID-19, with $800 million extra funding for NSW Health to assist in doubling ICU capacity, preparing for additional COVID-19 testing, purchasing additional ventilators and medical equipment, establishing more acute respiratory clinics and bringing forward elective surgeries to private hospitals.
If we all follow the rules, we will continue to protect each other and save lives.
Redevlopment
Our $68.7 million hospital redevelopment is making great progress with lots of activity behind the scaffolding.
The lifts have been installed and tested and work on ceilings and roofing as well as internal fittings is now complete.
Keep in touch with the latest news on the redevelopment by following Bowral and District Hospital on Facebook.
Two special days
Finally, I would like to acknowledge the wonderful nurses and midwives at our hospital who celebrated two special days this month.
International Nurses Day and the International Day of the Midwife were great opportunities for our staff and community to say thank you to our nurses and midwives for their fantastic work caring for their patients and our community.
