Committee volunteers have been hard at work with the Wingecarribee Shire Council building a second field at the Hockey Centre in Welby.
Meanwhile a recent announcement from Hockey NSW, the state sporting body for hockey, of plans for a return to community sport has been welcomed.

HIghlands Hockey Club president Paul Sabatier said the club was working towards a new season start date of July 18.
"We are notifying clubs now to be ready to nominate their teams so that we can have everything in place for the season to start as soon as possible," he said.
Three things we want you to know now:
- Southern Highlands Hockey is planning to hold a short competition running from July 18 - September 26
- The Hockey Centre now has two competition standard, synthetic surfaces available for play in 2020
- Energy efficient LED field lighting is being installed on both fields at the Hockey Centre
