A new under cover picnic area is now complete.
The $22,000 project was supported by more than 450 people who threw their weight behind a funding submission for the designated picnic space.

Their efforts were rewarded with a $9000 grant from the Veolia-Mulwaree Trust made available to the Southern Highlands Botanic Garden board late last year.
The remainder of the funds needed to create the space were provided through fundraising activities by the SHBG.
The final touches to the picnic area have now been completed with table, bench sets, concreted area and shelter all set in the stunning grounds of the gardens.
Wheelchair access at one end is another feature of the facility.
SHBG CEO Charlotte Webb OAM said people were encouraged to drop into the gardens and use the picnic space.
She said group bookings for the space were also welcome.
The SHBG, located on the corner of Old South and Kangaloon Roads, is open seven days from 9am to 5pm.
The Botanic Gardens nursery, also located on the site, is opened 9am to 3pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of each week, weather permitting.
