A scam email which appears to come from Wingecarribee Shire Council has made its way around the Highlands.
The subject of the email was 'Greetings!' and read:
"Hi,
Can I Ask You A Favour?
Kind Regards
Thank you!"
A spokesperson for Wingecarribee Shire Council said that if customers received the above email, they should delete it.
"Since we became aware of the email we've tightened our security protocols," they said.
"If at any time customers receive an email from council that looks suspicious, they can call us on phone 4868 0888 to check."
