But due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Mezzabar has had a slow start to 2020.

That isn't stopping new owner, Mark Talbot from getting into the Highlands spirit and helping out struggling community members.
"It's been difficult since we've taken over the Mezzabar," Talbot said.
"But some of our regular customers have been donating money. So in turn we've been running coffees down to the Centrelink line.
"The line is just ridiculously long and we're trying to keep those people's spirits up."
Like other food and beverage businesses, there are strict COVID-19 regulations Talbot and the Mezzabar must adhere to. But they're still open and looking to make Highlanders days with their delicious coffee.
"Everything is take away at the moment," Talbot said.
"We're taking phone orders and people can still come in and order like they regularly would.
"Just come on up to the counter and order your normal daily food and drink and we'll make it happen."
Good Friday is usually seen as a day of rest to some, but Talbot and friends will be making sure the people that don't get to rest are well looked after.
"We've got a friend of ours who will be coming in tomorrow (Friday, April 10) to bake some brownies, cookies and muffins,"
"We'll be making all of them and will be donating them to the hospital staff who really deserve it."
