In Wollongong District Court on Friday, April 3, Judge Richard Weinstein, jailed the 35-year-old, who can't be named for legal reasons, for six years from November 13, 2018 with a non-parole period of three years and eight months.
The man faced two counts of aggravated sexual Intercourse, while charges of indecent assault and producing and possessing child abuse material were also taken into account in his sentencing.
Court papers said the man had sexual intercourse with the girl at a Highlands address between June 1 and July 31 2017.
He also sexually assaulted the girl, then aged 15, during a camping trip to Kangaroo Valley in January 2018.
It was alleged during that trip he indecently assaulted the girl and also took photographs of her partially naked.
He will be first eligible for release in July 2022.
