It was bellowed from the scaffolding, "let there be light." And there was.

They weren't speaking of biblical terms, or a runoff of AC/DC's Let There Be Rock, this was all about the new LED lights installed at a Highlands sporting facility.
The Southern Highlands Hockey Centre at Welby has just finished installing a LED lighting system that will ensure players find the bright side of any bad game they're having.
Southern Highlands Hockey Association president, Paul Sabatier said work was done at the Southern Highlands Hockey Centre to replace the metal halide lights on the existing field with LEDs has been completed.
"This is stage one of the lighting project at the Welby Hockey Centre," Sabatier said.
"Conversion of the lights on the existing field to LED will substantially reduce our power costs and overall operational expenses for the centre."
The process went smoothly and was completed by Highlands based businesses. The new LED lights are far more technologically advanced than the previous ones.
"This project was financially assisted through our grant funding from the Australian Sports Commission," Sabatier said.
"Moss Vale's Power by Watts have now changed over the lights on the current field and tested them out for the first time.
"The new LED's use 60% less power and are controlled by a phone app allowing us to reduce light levels for training, which only requires an average light level of 250 lux.
"This will result in significant energy savings.
"They also have reduced the light spill distance from 40 to less than 20 metres away from the field minimising any impact on the neighbouring residents."
Stage two of the project will likely be taking place in the upcoming weeks.
"The Hockey Centre received an Australian Sports Commission Community Sport Infrastructure Grant mainly to complete stage two of this project which is the installation of LED floodlighting of the second field currently under construction," Sabatier said.
"The second field surface will be installed in the next few weeks and will have the same lighting layout.
"So this is a great result and thank you to the work by Power by Watts and the Hockey Centre Committee.
"This is huge benefit for all players."
