As Highlands sports goes into lock down, we want to shine a light on some of our great sportspeople in the area.
This man has bulls-eye aim and a steady hand. He competes in the Mittagong District Darts Association which is currently suspended due to the Mittagong RSL COVID-19 crisis.
As he, like many of us are in lock down, Andrew Casson understands why these measures have been taken and will try and remain competition sharp.
"I understand why it has to be done," Cssson said.
"But it's such a shame that it is interfering with all sports and people's pastimes.
"Being a darts player I don't need a lot of fitness just some practice on the dart board."
Isolation can be difficult, especially for people who enjoy the camaraderie of a team or social sport.
"I can't wait to see everyone again," Casson said.
"I'm missing the team environmental and the challenge the game brings every week."
With all this spare time, Casson can now reflect on the greats who inspired him to play the game of darts study to keep his skills up.
"My favorite dart player was Raymond Van Barneveld,"Casson said.
"It was his calmness when he threw the darts is what I really enjoyed. When I'm playing that exactly what I try to do also."
With many sports suspending their 2020 seasons, many may not return. Casson is hoping for just one last round.
"I'd like to see the competition get to finish," Casson said.
"Even if it's only one round. If not I would hope for the season next year to be successful."
