As a precaution to slow the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus, Wingecarribee Shire Council will temporarily close its Civic Centre and Welcome Centre to the public as of 4.30pm Wednesday March 25 2020.

The closure of the Moss Vale Civic Centre includes the public Customer Centre and will remain in force until further notice.
Development Applications will still be able to be lodged via email at mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au or by post.
Payments can be made by cheque or credit by calling council's general contact number on phone 4868 0888.
Residents wishing to contact council can continue to do so by calling the Contact Centre on phone 4868 0888.
The Contact Centre remains open 24 hours a day and is available for both general Council assistance queries and emergency after hours calls.
The Southern Highlands Welcome Centre located on Main Street in Mittagong will also close its doors at 4.30pm on Wednesday March 25. The closure includes the Centre's onsite public toilet facilities.
At present the Resource Recovery Centre located on Berrima Road in Moss Vale remains open as per normal trading hours.
Patrons using the facility will have to remove all items by themselves and no cash will be accepted on exit.
All payments will be conducted via eftpos 'Tap and go' arrangements.
The operation of the onsite Animal Shelter also remains unaffected at present.
The adjacent Southern Regional Livestock Exchange is also open but is restricted to persons directly involved with the purchase and sale of cattle only.
Council reminds residents that the following closures are already in place. All Council Libraries and library services and public pools including the Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre are closed until further notice.
All Council owned community facilities such as halls are also closed. Sporting facilities including club rooms, canteens and change rooms are also closed.
Council's Vacation Care facilities have also been temporarily closed.
All council organised public events and activities including Bushcare and Rivercare activities are also suspended until July 31 2020.
The closures follow the Federal Government's newly introduced crowd restrictions limiting the number of people in enclosed spaces.
Staff and management of council thank all residents and patrons in advance for their cooperation and understanding.
The decision to close these facilities, events and activities have all been taken in the interests of our community's health and we apologise for the temporary inconvenience.
We encourage all Southern Highlanders to heed the public distancing measures and continue to look out for each other.
