The first round of funds was distributed last week at Bong Bong Racecourse in Bowral.
The recipients included Higher Ground Raptor Centre, Robertson's Native Wildlife Rescue and Wombat Care Bundanoon.
"When the Foundation were approached by John Waters and Leo Sayer to help with the FireAid 2020 funds, we were delighted," Southern Highlands Foundation chair Shelly Boyce said.
"Working together we can make a real and valuable difference for those in our Highlands community impacted by the fires, the wildlife in need of care and the firefighters who fought so long to protect our lives."
The funding will also benefit Rural Fire Service brigades, mental health recovery and exceptional needs.
