A woman, disqualified from driving until 2024, has been charged after allegedly caught four times over the legal limit while driving to get herself a hamburger in the Southern Highlands.

Shortly after 11pm on March 12 2020, officers from The Hume Police District were patrolling Mittagong CBD, when they saw a Toyota Yaris on Main Street.
Concerned about the manner of driving, officers attempted to stop the vehicle after it was allegedly seen swerving. After some time, the vehicle came to a stop on Pioneer Drive.
Police spoke to the driver, a 55-year-old woman, who allegedly told officers she was driving to get herself a hamburger. She was subjected to a random breath test, which returned a positive result.
Inquiries also revealed her licence was disqualified until 2024 and the vehicle was unregistered.
The woman was arrested and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station, where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.219.
She was charged with high range PCA, use unregistered motor vehicle, and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
The woman is due to face Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday April 21 2020.
