CEO of the Mental Health Coordinating Council Carmel Tebbut will visit the centre at 11:30 am.
Mental Health Coordinating Council is the peak body for community managed mental health organisations in NSW. Ms Tebbut is also a member of the board of Mental Health Australia.
Ms Tebbut successfully transitioned to the community sector after spending 17 years in the NSW Parliament, serving in both the Legislative Council and as the Member for Marrickville where she held the portfolios for Health, Education, Community Services and the Environment.
She was the first woman to be Deputy Premier in NSW. Prior to her role at Mental Health Coordinating Council, Ms Tebbut was the CEO for Medical Deans, Australia and New Zealand, the peak body for medical education and research.
Manager Community Engagement for Community Link Larry Whipper said that "the fact that Carmel has announced her interest in our service delivery to young people and people with Mental Health needs in the Wollondilly and Wingecarribee speaks volumes."
ReFrame is a youth mental health program in the Wingecarribee Shire aimed at helping teens between the ages of 12 to 25 who are having a tough time with stress, anxiety or worry, feelings of sadness, physical health, family, relationships and issues and work or study to name a few.
