The Bowral Bowling Club handed over a cheque that will contribute to the mayor's bushfire appeal.
Chairman of Bowral Bowling Club, Stephen Della greeted everyone in attendance and thanked people for their hard work on the fundraising effort.
"We're really pleased to have Mayor, Duncan Gair in attendance," Mr Della said.
"We've raised $2100 for the Mayor's bushfire appeal and we've done it from car-boot sales, barbecues and raffles.
"We're really pleased to hand this donation over and thank you to everyone who helped raise this money."
Mayor of Wingecarribee Shire, Duncan Gair said that this effort was what the Southern Highlands was all about.
"This type of Highlands spirit is just tremendous," Mr Gair said.
"To raise $2100 through fundraising, people giving what they can, however they can raise it, is great to see.
"I've been involved in fundraising myself, I know how hard it is to go around and ask people to part with their money. This is the sort of donation that is really appreciated because I know the effort that goes into it.
"It's just excellent to see this type of community spirit."
The money allocation will be decided next week and posted online for people to view where these donations will be heading. But all of it is promised to stay where it was raised.
"It's going to be spent on Shire affected victims," Mr Gair said.
"We're having a meeting next week and will be winding this fund up now.
"The rain has changed the feelings of the people within the community. Their psychological manner is now experiencing relief and from this we'll distribute the monies where we can.
"If not and we can't use it all, the remaining will go into mayoral fund.
"There is going to be another emergency at another time, and this money can and will be used for people that are affected then. But the money will stay within the community needs."
