Established in 1989 with opening of the Carribee Centre in Bowral, Wingecarribee Adult Day Care Centre has increased its programs and services to meet the needs of the expanding aged population of the Southern Highlands.
The original centre was expanded in 1997 and in 2008 a second facility was opened in the Queen Street Centre, Moss Vale.
In 2016 the Carribee Centre was operating at full capacity and needed to be extended once again to upgrade the existing facilities and to meet the needs of the growing aged population of the Southern Highlands.
The Extension Appeal was launched in 2016 under the patronage of Graeme Day and with the strong support of the Wingecarribee community and grants from the State and Federal governments $730,000 was raised.
The extension which was project managed by the Project Management team of the Wingecarribee Shire Council and completed in October 2019.
