Let The Ladies Go co-director Tania Daykin said thanked those who adopted chickens.
"What we do is we put [the chickens] into people's homes, so they can see what an affectionate, intelligent beings they are," she said.
Ms Daykin said adoption was "addictive" and she had several repeat customers.
This includes a man from Goulburn, who cares for close to 20 rescue chickens.
Across various locations, the charity has re-homed about 37,000 chickens to date.
Adoption days are held about once every three months.
