An intimate show and unique show, The Church front man will perform a number of hits from The Church as well as hits from his solo career and a number of covers.
"I'm there to play for the people," he said.
"I'm a people pleaser.
"The [audience] all want to hear to three out of four hits from The Church. That's what people want.
"I try to mix it up and play a number of new and old songs and covers.
"The audience won't leave empty handed."
Steve boasts an impressive resume with songs such as 'Under the Milky Way and 'The Unguarded Moment' from The Church's albums as well as 'Sydney Rococo' from his latest album of the same and more than 20 albums under his belt.
An avid song writer, Steve has been obsessed with writing lyrics.
"It's what I do," he said.
"I'm constantly writing songs, tapping in to the human consciousness.
"I will write songs to the end of my life. I might roll up in Bowral and write a song.
"I might hear a snatch of conversation and file it away.
"It's an ongoing process."
Steve Kilbey will play at the Bowral Bowling Club on Saturday February 22 from 6 pm. Tickets are available via Moshtix and cost $43.45.
"I'm very excited to play in Bowral and put in 100 per cent," he said
"I give everything I've got.
"I hope people come along. It's not all serious, there's some funny stuff and funny stories too."
