This is according to publicity officer and committee member Peter Doris.
For 20 years the group has occupied a building at Burradoo's Harbison premises with peppercorn rent, until the aged care provider recently expanded.
"They've been very good to us but that's the situation, they need the space," Mr Doris said.
Mr Doris said the group hoped for a similar arrangement anywhere in the Southern Highlands, but preferably in Mittagong or Bowral.
The group requires a building with 100 square metres in floor space, as they have a considerable amount of equipment to store.
Mr Doris said club members would be willing to fit out an appropriate space with the right power sources.
"We're in a desperate situation in a sense we have to get the gear out," he said.
"If we had something we could walk into that'd be fantastic.
"The ideal situation is to get something with a very minimal set up, where we can occupy a building at least."

He said they would continue to search for an appropriate premises to move into as soon as possible.
Mr Doris said the group recently inspected a premises at Moss Vale, however it was not suitable as it would require about $30,000 worth of improvements.
"That's money we don't have because we fitted out this shed 18 months ago," he said.
There are about 40 members in the group, predominantly retirees however about three or four members still participate in paid employment.
The group operates in a similar fashion to a men's shed, however the group is open to people of all genders with an interest in woodturning.
Mr Doris said the club offered an outlet that was "really important for the community".
"It's a situation where the club [might have to] fold. I think that'd be detrimental to the 40 members," he said.
"It's a hobby that some people take up when they're retired."
