Two bushfire community recovery meetings will be held on February 20 and February 24 for residents in the Northern and Southern bushfire affected villages.
The meetings will feature an update from Wingecarribee Shire Council regional recovery coordinator, Dick Adams, and speakers from key government agencies including Service NSW and Disaster Welfare Services.
Both residential and small business issues will be included in the presentations.
The meetings will provide an opportunity for the speakers to hear the concerns of residents and for attendees to learn the latest recovery information.
Council staff will also be on hand to talk about ongoing clean-up activities, infrastructure repairs and funding assistance available.
The southern villages Community Recovery Meeting will be held at the Wingello Community Hall on February 20 2020 from 6pm to 7pm.
The northern villages Community Recovery Meeting will be held at the Balmoral Village Hall on February 24 2020 from 6pm to 7pm.
Government agency representatives and staff of Council will be onsite from 4pm at the southern villages Community Recovery Meeting to discuss individual circumstances with fire affected residents.
Similarly, a Community Recovery Hub operates every Wednesday and Sunday at the Balmoral Village Hall.
Both Bush Fire Community Recovery Meetings will be live-streamed on Council's Facebook page for residents unable to attend in person.
These preliminary meetings will focus on the initial steps in the recovery process. Further meetings will be held in the months ahead.
A free sausage sizzle will be available prior to the start of both Recovery Meetings.
