Based in Orange NSW, Kinross Wolaroi is one of the largest co-educational boarding schools in Australia. A recent shift in perspectives and interest has seen the school drawing an increased number of enrolments from the east of the state, particularly from the Southern Highlands.
Located in the regional centre of Orange, Kinross Wolaroi has a rich boarding heritage with families seeking a co-educational and independent boarding and day school for their family from Pre-Kinder to Year 12, with separate boarding sites for boys and girls from Year 7.
Kinross Wolaroi School opens up a world of opportunity for students in Orange NSW, offering more than 40 HSC subjects and ranking in the top twenty percent of NSW schools last year.
Dr Andrew Parry has been the Principal of Kinross Wolaroi School since 201 7 and is the former Deputy Head at The King's School Parramatta, and an Old Tudorian.
"We are a close-knit, engaged and friendly community who have been providing educational excellence in Orange for over 130 years.," Dr Parry said.
"Our boarding students make up roughly 40% of student numbers in our Senior School, meaning that we have a strong, well established and vibrant boarding community.
"At the heart of any school is student wellbeing and we recognise that in order for every young person to succeed to the best of their ability, they must do so in a caring and secure environment; one which encourages them to develop self-confidence and social skills, one where relationships between all members of the community are based on trust and respect.
"At Kinross Wolaroi our focus is to help our boarders to feel connected, listened to, valued and supported.
"The Southern Highlands is a comfortable three and a half hour drive from Orange, making it easily accessible for visits. Co-educational boarding schools are few and far between, even in Sydney, making Kinross Wolaroi an appealing and affordable option for families who wish to keeping siblings together."
The event will take place at Briars Country Lodge on February 28 from 6 pm. Bookings are a must and can be made via https://www.trybooking.com/BFRRM
