A charity 'Reaching 4 Korina' golf day will be held at the Highlands Golf Club in Mittagong on Sunday, March 1, 2020, to help raise funds for inspiring, local mother, Korina Valentine, who lost her legs and arms through a sepsis infection in 2015.
Funds raised will boost Korina's goals this year of driving a car for the first time in five years and gaining a bionic arm, replacing a basic prosthetic arm, which will dramatically improve her movement.
Husband, Daniel Valentine, said both the bionic arm and car modifications would cost large sums of money but would give her the precious gift of independence.
"Korina would love to drive to the shops or drop the kids off at school so that's what we are aiming for this year and if achieve that, it will be a hug year for her," Valentine said.
The Golf day on Sunday, March 1 will run from 11.45am to 5pm and cost $70 per person including a BBQ lunch, gift bag and trophies.
There will also be prizes and raffles as part of the fun. Major sponsors of the event are Truck and Tractor and Bare-Co.
Gather your friends and help Korina reach her goals.
