A new campaign will launch to help share the love among businesses, retailers and tourism operators who have been severely impacted by the Green Wattle Creek and Morton fire that have ravaged parts of the Southern Highlands.
Destination Southern Highlands group manager Steve Rosa said that he was excited by the campaign.
"Many farms, wineries and businesses were all directly, or indirectly, affected," he said.
"Our brave fire fighters were exhausted, and people's spirits were low. However, the community rallied and vowed to fight on.
"We are back on our feet now and invite everyone to "Share the Love" with the Southern Highlands."
The 'Share the Love' campaign encourages residents to support local businesses as well as inviting their family and friends to visit the Southern Highlands.
Share the Love ambassador and Southern Highlands resident Leo Sayer made the move to the region more than six years ago. The international music icon first fell in love with the Southern Highlands in 1975 on his first tour of Australia.
"It's important to bring people together for a common cause," he said.
Local businesses have put together some offers and deals to share with residents and visitors alike to help stimulate business growth.
'Share the Love' encourages visitors to the Highlands to book, stay and buy local with locals encouraged to invite friends and relatives to the region.
People can also purchase a gift voucher for themselves, gift to a friend or pay it forward to a local volunteer in the RFS, SES or Wires from a participating business.
