While Dylan's words were prophetic, the reality is that things are always changing throughout life, throughout history.
Keen Southern Highlands photographer James Whitfield has clearly captured a portion of change within our own community in these two snaps of then and now.
These snaps have been taken at a location in Mittagong that most would have passed, no doubt many times, over the years.
Just up the road from Mittagong McDonalds, on the corner of Bessemer and Regent Streets, there was once a sawmill.
These days the site is home to several housing units.
- Do you have more information about the sawmill that once stood there or do you have then and now pictures of another location that you would like to share? It has been Australia's lost summer. Drought, hail, floods and, worst of all, bushfires have ravaged communities all over the nation. But the selfless actions of friends, family, neighbours, strangers, local groups and volunteer organisations have inspired us and strengthened the bonds of community. Please join us in saying thanks to the heroes of the home front by sharing your stories of gratitude. To salute a person or a group, please use the form below.
