The Extinction Rebellion climate change protest took place on February 1 in Bowral.
Acting Inspector David Williamson said that the protest was well coordinated by the protest organisers.
"They were more than obliging," he said.
"There were no real issues and we tried to maintain minimal impact on traffic in Bowral CBD.
"We'd like to thank the organisers for listening to requests and working with the police."
Organiser Scott Gibson said the community had organised the rally under the banner of global climate movement Extinction Rebellion, as the first step in forcing council to do its part in stopping climate change.
