Mobile Service Teams are helping people in bushfire affected areas access Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payments and Disaster Recovery Allowance.
Teams have the necessary technology and reliable internet connectivity that allows them to provide immediate onthespot assistance to affected people.
A social worker will also be available to offer short-term counselling and referrals.
The quickest and easiest way for people to claim disaster assistance is over the phone by calling 180 22 66.
