A floral art competition and exhibition is sure to be a treat for flower enthusiasts throughout the Southern Highlands. The event will also feature floral design demonstrations and workshops.
Retford Park open garden
February 1 - 2, 10am - 4pm, 1325 Old South Road, Bowral.
The beautiful grounds of Retford Park will be open to the public this weekend. In addition to being a lovely day out, attendees will be able to support our firies while they stop and smell the roses. A donation esky will be situated at the entry gate to the garden and inside the house to collect donations for Wingecarribee Support/Catering Brigade. The even organisers have asked for cash donations only. The Wingecarribee Support/Catering Brigade of the Rural Fire Service have made more than 10,000 sandwiches for firefighters during the recent crisis, with the help of the community. Small Farm Field Day
February 1 and 2 at Bong Bong Racecourse, Kangaloon Road, Bowral.
Load the ute, grab your boots and get ready for the annual Small Farm Field Day. Event organiser Elizabeth Nichols said the event was an opportunity for local businesses to show off their products. The field day will have a lot of new products and farm machinery. The annual Small Farm Field Day will showcase a lot of implements to make life easier. There will be plenty of entertainment on the cards during the two days. From pig racing to a reptile show there is plenty to keep you entertained. Highlands Beer and Cider Festival
February 1 and 2 from 11am to 5pm at Bong Bong Racecourse, Kangaloon Road, Bowral.
Come and taste the goods from more than 10 craft beer and cider brewers with over 40 frothy drinks on tap. Grab a bite while you sip with more than 10 food varieties on offer. Delicious meals include low and slow cooked meats. If you're not a beer or cider fan don's despair, a selection of wine, cocktails and bubbles will also be available, Live music will have you ready to dance from 12pm. A huge beer garden will provide shade and shelter from the Summer sun. Come and find your new favourite brew.
