But for Robertson Video Shop owner-operator Camille Williams it means more customers through the door.
In the age of internet streaming services, the independent store has bucked a national trend and remained open for more than 25 years.
A symbol of a bygone era, it could be considered one of the last independent video shops in Australia.
Ms Williams has been with the business for 14 years and said customers returned because she was a film expert.
"I just love entertainment in a sense, that's just me," she said.

"I'm somewhat good at it because I can pull movie facts out of anywhere."
While she has signed up for a streaming service herself, she said her business inside the Enhance petrol station had a point of difference.
"They only have limited licensing agreements for movies," she said.
"It does help me in a sense because movies only stay on there for a limited time."
Ms Williams said some of her most popular movies were children's movies, due to the large population of families in Robertson.
She said a trip to her store was a blast from the past for many local and travelling families.
"I do have the occasional person who come through and say 'wow I haven't seen one of these in years'," she said.
"I've had a couple of parents who come in and talk to their kids about video shops.
"It's fun trying to explain to kids what a video is. You say it was a big cassette that you stuff into a big player.
"It's so funny watching their faces. They don't know what it is."
According to Deloitte's 2019 media consumer survey, there are more than 12 television and movie streaming services available to Australians.
Fifty-seven per cent of millennials have more than one streaming service, while 53 per cent of Gen Xs said the same.
Meanwhile 40 per cent of boomers prefer to subscribe to more than one service, and 21 per cent of mature adults can't access what they need with one streaming service.
Ms Williams said she hoped to serve the region for many years to come.
"I'd like to continue for a little while at least. Streaming is a valuable service but I'm here as well," she said.
For now, there are no closing credits in sight for this independently-owned business.
