"I started playing the game of soccer at the age of 11," Lewis said.
"My dad played soccer and I followed in the family footsteps. I played for Bowral FC and that's where I developed my game."
Lewis's game flourished in the Highlands and her talents were soon recognised. She then got an opportunity that snowballed this whole process.
"I got asked to go to a try-out program," Lewis said.
"After the trial, I got accepted, but they had to go through my academic scores. You need to be on top of both if you're to be accepted.
"After a few weeks, I got the acceptance email. I was shocked, I thought to myself, wow my dreams are actually coming true."
Georgie signed her contract to Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa and along with playing soccer, Georgie will be studying criminology.
Setting herself up for two great outcomes, whether it be athletically or academically, Georgie already has big plans while in the USA.
"I'd like to play my best football possible," Lewis said.
"After my two years are up there, I will look to transfer to a higher four year college."
Georgie has an extremely bright future and even after accomplishing so much at such a young age, she still has some major goals she would like to fulfill.
"If the opportunity came up for me to play soccer professionally I would definitely take it," Lewis said.
"I'd love to play for the Matilda's one day. That is my main goal with my soccer career.
"It would be a dream come true."
